My name is Alex Edelstein. I’m a Vice President of Product Management at Salesforce, and I’ve been a professional maker of software since 1991.

Note that everything here is my personal opinion, and my business relationship with JetBI is not a Salesforce engagement.

I have a separate project called UnofficialSF.com. I’ve been working with Sergey and Sahib for quite a while now. Perhaps 2 years or more, assigning them a variety of projects.

This isn’t the first time that I have contracted for software development services. I’ve been doing it on and off for the last 30 years.

I want to report to the JetBI team that Sergey and Sahib collectively have delivered consistently superb work. I would rate them in the top 1% of the software development teams I’ve worked with. I am a very demanding product manager, so you should understand that it takes a great deal just to satisfy me, and it takes much more to get this kind of praise from me.

More specifically:

  1. The general quality of the code has been exceptional and consistent. There are few bugs that come in
  2. The team has done an excellent job of interpreting my requirements documents. There has almost never been a misunderstanding. The team asks for clarification where necessary.
  3. The team also has consistently been willing to make its own design decisions on implementation and I have almost never felt that there would have been a better way.
  4. The team time estimates have always seemed reasonable, and the team has generally met all of its commitments.

The only limitation I have is budget. If I had more budget, I’d steer more to JetBI, and specifically would seek to engage Sergey and Sahib as much as possible.
